I learned to dance at the Eileen Clarke School of Dance. Starting at the tender age of two I enjoyed my years of dance classes thoroughly, making many friends and participating in many school shows all over the North West. All of my annual examinations in Tap, Ballet and Modern under the N.A.T.D. board were taken with enthusiasm and passed with flying colours.
My favourite style was always tap and I progressed through Bronze, Silver and Gold to eventually pass my teachers examination, whilst enjoying the opportunities of creating my own routines.
Following a fortuitous meeting with Wayne, (the Principal of Cadmans Dance Centre in Sale) and his wife, I took up a position as tap teacher at Cadmans. Starting off with two evening classes things went from strength to strength and I developed further classes in the daytime. Indeed I have taught tap in most places where there is a suitable floor!!!
Now, years later, Top Hat Tappers are well established in the Heaton Mersey and Sale area. I enjoy working in and creating a happy, constructive and musical environment helping all the dancers to achieve the challenges I places before them, to fulfil their dreams, keep fit and generally enjoy themselves.
